Maria Cristina Chavantes

Graduated at Medical School from Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Brasília (1973-1978) and House Officer (Pulmo- Residence) in Internal Medicine (1979-1980). MOMBUSHO Fellowship in Japan, at Institute of Pulmonary Cancer Research School in Chiba University and CardioThoracic Surgery Department of Tokyo Medical University (1981-1983). Ph.D. (Fellowship-FUB) in Medizin of Freien Universitaet Berlin, Deutschland as well as clinical fellow at Klinikum Steglitz from FUB. Fellow/Post Doc Henry Ford Hospital -Henry Ford Foundation (1986-1988). Has a large experience in Medicine, focusing on Biophotonic and Heath Care, with interdisciplinare interface in Biomedical Engeenering and Bioengeneering fields, thus reserching and developing technique on the following subjects: Lasers (Surgical Laser and Laserterapy- LLLT, PDT) in Thoracic-Cardiovascular Surgery; Laser stereotactic ressection, Né uro-endoscopy of brain lesions and in other medical specialties. Working in prevention of dehiscence from saphectomy and sternotomy as well as Lasertherapy on tissue repairing, anti-inflamatory effects and analgesy. Laser research a. development of new techniques in Translacional Medicine over 2 decades. Studying diagnosis technique applying Laser (Bio-speckle, Raman Spectroscopy, Fluorescence) as same as applying Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT a.
