He received his undergraduate degree in Agronomic Engineering from the University of São Paulo (USP - ESALQ) in 1981. Master of Science in Agronomy, ESAQ - USP, in 1988, and PhD in Weed Science at Colorado State Universty - CSU in 1992. He is currently associate professor - at the University of São Paulo - ESALQ - Department of Crop Science. He has experience in the area of ​​Agronomy, with emphasis in Weed Science, acting in undergraduate and graduate education, extension and research, mainly in subjects related to: biology and management of weeds, weed resistance to herbicides, weed management In annual and perennial crops, with emphasis on soybean, corn, cotton and sugarcane crops. During the period from August 2014 to December 2016 he served as president of the Brazilian Society of Weed Science.
