Finished his undergraduate in Mathematics at Universidade de São Paulo (1977), also finished is master (1980) at the same university and his PhD in Mathematics from Brandeis University (1987). Has experience in Mathematics, focusing on Algebra, acting on the following subjects: algebras estandarmente estratificadas, hochschild cohomology, euler characteristic, representation and algebras de koszul. Our intention is to study 2 theorems of Gabriel. The first one characterize the basic, finite dimensional algebras over an algebraically closed field, and the second study the representation type of such algebras adding the hypothesis that they are hereditary. (AU)
We plan to apply the Groebner basis theory to the study of the Hochschild cohomology. In particular we intend to study carefully the work of M. Bardzel, E. Green and S.Chouhy. We will use our study to distinguish via isomorphism some classes of algebras which appear in the literature. This work should bring us to a good PhD problem.
The computation of Hochschild Cohomology and Homology is a dificult task, in general.
