Architect (1979), Master (1988), Doctor (1995) and Associate Professor (2018) by the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil. Member of the teachers' staff of the School of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo, since 1981, and of the School of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Urban Design of the University of Campinas (FEC-Unicamp) since 1998. Academic experience in teaching and research related to the architectural design of buildings, with an emphasis on daylighting and artificial lighting issues, and as a tutor of final work degree, scientific initiation, master and doctorate degrees. His nonacademic portfolio has architectural designs of houses, apartments, service and worship buildings, and lighting designs of a bus station, worship and museum buildings. Registered at CAU (Brazilian Council of Architecture and Urbanism) under number A5274-4. Affiliated to: IAB - the Brazilian Institute of Architects, SLL (Society of Light and Lighting) and IES (Illuminating Engineering Society), where is part of its Daylighting Committee, as an advisory member.
