Bachelor in Statistics (1986) at State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), MSc in Statistics (1991) at UNICAMP and PhD in Logic (1999) at UNICAMP. Since 1990, she is a professor at the State University of São Paulo (UNESP), which is affiliated at Educational Psychology Department until August 2016 and, from September 2016 to Information Science Department. She was professor at Postgraduate Program in Philosophy from 2000 to 2011, having assumed the coordination of this program from March 2016 to May 2017. Since 2010, she has been a professor at Information Science Post-Graduate Program (PPGCI) of UNESP / Marília Campus. Coordinated PPGCI from June 2013 to May 2017. She researches in the fields of Quantitative Methods and Logic, mainly in the following subjects: Metrics Studies in Information, Bibliometrics, Applied Statistics and Logic extended by generalized quantifiers.
