Associate Professor in the Department of Education at Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho - UNESP - He has a PhD and a Masters in Education from the University of São Paulo - USP - (2001/1991). He graduated in Geography, Licenciatura and Bacharelado course, at UNESP (1987). Between 2010 and 2011 he held a Post-Doctorate at the University of Santiago de Compostela-USC-Spain. He is a professor at UNESP in the discipline Fundamentals of Teaching Practice, in the area of Geography Teaching. She works in the Graduate Programs in Education (IB / Dept of Education) and Graduate Programs in Geography (IGCE / Department of Geography). He is chief editor and member of the editorial board of Revista Educação: Teoria e Prática of the same Department of Education. He coordinates the Language, Experience, Memory and Training study group accredited to CNPq and participates in the study and research group called Representations, Learning, Reading and Writing (GEPRALE). Among the main research themes, the following stand out: Teaching of Geography, Memory and didactics of Geography, History of school subjects and Curriculum. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
