Bachelor's at Bacharelado em Ciências Biológicas from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2000), master's at Zoology from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2004) and doctorate at Zoology from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2010). From 2010 to 2011 was a postdoctoral fellow at Institut National d'Études Supérieures Agronomiques de Montpellier (SUPAGRO), France. From 2011 to 2016 was the PI Young Investigator/FAPESP at UNESP-Rio Claro-SP. Attended international meetings on the fields of acarology (USA-2006, 2008, Brazil-2010, Vienna-2012, Japan-2014, Turkey-2018), conservation (SCCS-AMNH) at the American Museum of Natural History (2011, 2012, 2013), and took workshops at the Acarology Summer Program (2007, 2012) from the Ohio State University. Currently is Associate Editor of the International Journal of Acarology, and is included in the editorial board of two other scientific journals. Currently is full Professor at Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). Main research focuses on diversity, systematics and taxonomy of feather mites (Acariformes: Astigmata) (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
