Professor of Department of Genetics and Evolution at Federal University of São Carlos. Graduated in agronomic engineering at Federal University of São Carlos (1999) and has PhD in Sciences from Federal University of São Carlos (2004). Her PhD was in cooperation with Dr. Stephen Benkovick , under a sandwiche PhD program at Penn State University, Department of Chemistry in the area of ​​Protein-DNA Shuffling (2003). She completed postdoctoral studies at the Department of Genetics and Evolution of UFSCar from 2005 to 2009 in the field of transgenic plants. She is coordinator of Laboratory of Plant Biotechnology (LBV), conducting studies in plant biotechnology, specifically characterization of insects peptidases and insects resistance proteins from citrus and sugarcane. She was the coordinator of the Postgraduate Course in Evolutionary Genetics and Molecular Biology (PPGGEv) at UFSCar (2014-2017). He is currently completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Florida (Lake Alfred, USA) as Visiting Scholar at the Citrus Research and Education Center, IFAS.
