Veterinary doctor graduated from the University of Sao Paulo (USP), Brazil in 2011. Specialized in veterinary anesthesiology (Faculty of Jaguariuna / PAV - 2013), completed a residency in veterinary anesthesia at the Sao Paulo State University (UNESP - Botucatu) in 2014, obtained a Master's degree at the USP in 2016. Worked as research visitor (research externship) at the University of Montreal - Canada (UdeM) in 2015. Received her Ph.D. at the Université de Montréal, Canada (2020) and her project aimed to develop and validate a facial expression-based scale for acute pain assessment in cats (the Feline Grimace Scale).
