Graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (1986), Master in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (1992), doctorate in Biotechnology from the USP / IButantan / IPT Interunits Program (2008) and post- PhD in Microbiology by the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of São Paulo (2016). Has experience in the area of Chemical Engineering with emphasis on Biotechnological Processes involving cultures of both bacteria and animal cells, working on the following topics: metabolic engineering, bacterial biopolymers (polyhydroxyalkanoates), biosurfactants, bioinsecticides, production of coagulation factors, agricultural inoculants.
