Graduate in Physical Therapy from the Federal University of São Carlos (1984), master's in Bioengineering from the São Paulo University (1990), and Ph.D. in Experimental Medicine from São Paulo University (1999). She is currently Associate Professor IV at the Federal University of São Carlos. The line of investigation is alterations and interventions in the musculoskeletal system, mainly: on physiotherapy, pain, and function in degenerative processes of articular cartilage, especially knee osteoarthritis, as well as its relationship with body composition.
