The professor holds a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from the São Paulo State University (Unesp), Faculty of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences, Jaboticabal (1986), a Master's Degree in Agronomy (Genetics and Plant Breeding) by the São Paulo State University (Unesp), Faculty of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences, Jaboticabal (1990), PhD in Sciences (Genetics) by the University of São Paulo-FMRP / USP (1999) and Post-doctorate in Molecular Genetics, Biochemistry and Biotechnology of Bacillus thuringiensis at the University of Valencia-Spain (2006-2007). Associate professor since March 2018 at the Department of Biology Applied to Agriculture, São Paulo State University (Unesp), Faculty of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences, Jaboticabal. The researcher has experience in the area of Basic Genetics, Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology and works in biological control of pests with emphasis on the molecular genetics of Bacillus thuringiensis, on the expression of insecticidal proteins and studies related to the resistance of insects to Bt toxins.
