Graduated in Mathematics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (1975), Master in Education from the State University of Campinas (1994) and Ph.D. in Education from the State University of Campinas (2000). Performed post-doctoral internship at the PPGE of UFRN in the field of biographical studies, under the supervision of Profa. Dr. Maria da Conceição Passeggi. He is currently a professor at Universidade São Francisco, campus of Itatiba, together with the Stricto Sensu Post-Graduate Program in Education (research line Teacher training, teaching work and educational practices) and the Pedagogy course. Worked as: coordinator of the USF Graduate Program (2004-2006); coordinator of a Minter Program USF/FAE (2006-2008); coordinator of the USF Scientific Initiation Program (2010-2011); coordinator of GT7 Teacher Training/SBEM (2003-2006); coordinator of GT19 Mathematics Education/Anped (2008-2009); member of the scientific committee of Anped (2011-2015). He has experience in the field of Education, working mainly on the following topics: mathematics education, teacher training, pedagogical practice and (auto)biographical narratives. She is editor of Revista Horizontes. He is the leader of the research groups: Collaborative Group in Mathematics (Grucomat) and Stories of Teachers Who Teach Mathematics (HIFOPEM).
