Colombo Celso Gaeta Tassinari

He has a degree in Geology from the University of São Paulo (1975), a master's degree in Geosciences (Mineralogy and Petrology) from the University of São Paulo (1981) and a PhD in Geochemistry and Geotectonics from the University of São Paulo (1988). He was director of the Institute of Geosciences at USP and of the Institute of Energy and Environment at USP, where he is currently a full professor. He has experience in Geosciences, with an emphasis on Isotopic Geology applied to metallogenesis, tectonics and CCS technologies. He is currently coordinating and developing projects in the area of Geological Storage of CO2. He is a full member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and the São Paulo Academy of Sciences and a foreign correspondent member of the Lisbon Academy of Sciences. He coordinated the National Institute of Science and Technology for Analytical Techniques Applied to Oil and Gas Exploration. He currently coordinates USP's high-resolution geochronology laboratory (GeoLab-SHRIMP) and the "Geological Storage of CO2" Research Group, developing various projects to characterize geological reservoirs for storing CO2. He received the ANP's 2023 academic personality award for his significant contribution to RDI in the oil and gas sector. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
