Juliana Furlaneto Benchimol

Graduated in Social Communications at Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (2002) and Biology at Santa Ursula University / RJ (2006). Specialized in scientific journalism at UNICAMP / SP (2008), and Sustainability at Schumacher College (Totnes, UK) (2011). Masters in Environmental Management and Sustainability at Uninove University / SP (2015). Worked on research at the Botanical Garden of Rio de Janeiro / RJ, within the Department of Biochemistry at UFRJ, as a consultant on environmental education at Ecology Brazil and for the City Hall of Campinas / SP. Wrote, as a collaborator, to electronic journals: ComCiência, Ciência Hoje and Dia de Campo web Portal. With 08 years of experience in press relations for large businesses, worked in corporate communications at BASF SA from 2007 to 2010. Coordinated the Socioenvironmental Education team at Espaço ECO® Foundation from 2010 to 2014, with expertise in Project Development, Social and Environmental Education, Stakeholder Engagement, development of new tools and programs to assimilate concepts of sustainability, socio- eco-efficiency and biodiversity conservation. Has been consultant for sustainability in the Latin America crop protection unit at BASF SA from July 2014 until 2016, leading the regional implementation of the sustainability strategy, and development of projects and tools for socio-eco-efficiency and biodiversity in agriculture.
