This work intends to invertigate how Bergson constructs his concept of intuition as a philosophical method and to indicate some implications of this concept in his ethical and pedagogical reflections. Thus, the study begins with the consideration that for Bergson the intuition must be taken as the primary medium of knowledge of the reality for only it can really apprehend its concrete movement of duration. In a deeper consideration of this bergsonian reflection, intuition turns itself into the method that makes possible the philosophy develops a thought able to really reflect the real and its inherent temporality, besides, takes a critical position towards a tradition that maintains a excessively rational and distant analysis of reality, generating several false problems and solutions. The research intends to get into Bergson's creative itinerary from Essai sur les donnés immédiates de la conscience to Les deux sources de la morale et de la Religion, in order to determinate how that conception of intuition is developed through his work. The research concludes that the intuition is not only a rigorous philosophical method of knowledge but can, as well, converts itself in the principle of a changing action, able to promote the moral elevation of man and so enlarge his range of speculation and give him "more power to act and live". In this sense, according to Bergson, the intuition must be, especially in his pedagogic meaning, cultivated as a fundamental complement for intelligence or reason, even to point out their limits. (AU)
