Resumo

Nanotecnologia incorporando estratégias supramoleculares é o assunto deste projeto em desenvolvimento no Instituto de Química da USP. Nesse sentido, novos complexos metálicos derivados de polipiridinas, tetrapiridilporfirinas, tetraazaporfirazinas e clusters triangulares de rutênio estão sendo usados como blocos de montagem de estruturas funcionais, visando a obtenção de eletro/fotocatalisadores, sensores e sistemas fotoeletroquimicos de alto desempenho. Da mesma forma, nanopartículas com características supramoleculares estão sendo elaboradas, a partir de núcleos plasmônicos de Ag e Au, semicondutores (TiO2), núcleos superparamagnéticos (Fe3O4, g-Fe2O3) e quantum dots (CdTe, C*), os quais são devidamente protegidos, por exemplo, com coberturas de SiO2 ou polímeros. A seguir, são aplicadas modificações com agentes químicos específicos, visando aplicações na área química, biológica ou médica, assim como o desenvolvimento de procedimentos verdes na biotecnologia e hidrometalurgia. Por exemplo, células solares sensibilizadas por corantes supramoleculares estão sendo trabalhadas segundo um planejamento vetorial. Na linha de sensores, nanopartículas plasmônicas e superparamagnéticas estão sendo aplicadas a eletrodos impressos visando a realização de experimentos eletroanalíticos com concentração magnética, e de espectroeletroquímica SERS in situ. Nanopartículas superparamagnéticas estão sendo aplicadas na nano-hidrometalurgia visando a captura, transporte e processamento de íons metálicos, incluindo eletrometalurgia e separação de terras raras. Enzimas estão sendo imobilizadas sobre nanopartículas superparamagneticas e empregadas na resolução enantiomérica e outras aplicações biotecnológicas. Finalmente, nanopartículas multifuncionais estão sendo desenvolvidas como agentes teranósticos e de contraste de imagem na medicina. Os trabalhos estão sendo conduzidos por dois grupos de pesquisa consolidados, com participação de cerca de cerca de 35 pesquisadores, contando com forte colaboração institucional e empresarial no país e exterior.
