Resumo

The event will benefit basic and clinical researchers. No parallel sessions are planned. The event starts with an educational session, where HPV structure, taxonomy, life cycle, carcinogenesis and immune responses are presented. This educational session expects to bring current information on the topics so that even non-specialists are updated. The event will consist of 9 sessions of 40 min lectures by international/national experts, followed by 15 min oral presentations within the topic. These include HPV associated diseases, cervical cancer screening and prophylactic and therapeutic vaccines. Lectures will be conducted by experts who have ongoing collaborations or are planning joint projects or whose expertise benefit researchers and clinicians in these areas. Oral presentations will be selected from abstracts. At the end of each day, a 30-mi seminar on topics relevant are programmed. Poster sections will occur in two days, and posters will be evaluated by invited speakers and the scientific committee, and best posters in distinct categories will be awarded. Our main goal is to promote interaction between regional and international leaders in epidemiology, screening and treatment of cervical and other HPV malignancies, offering unique opportunities for networking. We aim to strengthen on-going collaborations and promote new ones with both international and national leaders. Early career participants will benefit from a better understanding of topics discussed and may be better able to navigate the details of building a career and research program involving topic discussed. Invited speakers will be available to discuss during poster sessions and coffee breaks, and the 90-minute meet the expert's period. Thus, there will be ample opportunities to interact during talks, poster presentations and social activities. In fact, onsite participation offers increased contact between speakers and participants. The auditorium at ICESP has a capacity for 180 people. (AU)
