Transtorno do estresse pós-traumático: epidemiologia, fisiopatologia e tratamento

Resumo

O estudo epidemiológico selecionará de forma randômica e ponderada, uma amostra de 3.000 moradores da cidade de São Paulo, que seja representativa das várias áreas demográficas, abarcando toda a complexidade da rede socioeconômica da cidade. Esta amostra será representativa da população em seus vários extratos, levando em conta diferentes fatores de risco sóciodemográficos para vitimização e o desenvolvimento do TEPT. O estudo epidemiológico permitirá identificar os sujeitos que foram vitimas de violência e não desenvolveram TEPT (CIDI). A partir desta amostra, serão recrutados 120 indivíduos, pareados por sexo, idade e distribuição sóciodemográfica com o grupo de casos. Os casos e controles serão comparados em estudo de neuroimagem, genética, neuroeodocrinologia, neuropsicologia e receptores e transportadores dopaminérgicos para compreensão dos fatores de risco e proteção no TEPT. O temático contará também com avaliação dos tratamentos para o TEPT, incIuindo-se um ensaio clínico comparando Topiramato e Terapia cognitiva comportamental. Haverá também um vínculo entre os trabalhos clínicos epidemiológicos e o desenvolvimento de modelos animais para mimetizar o TE PT. (AU)
