Resumo

A 3-day meeting of the Global Sustainable Bioenergy and LACAf projects is proposed during October of 2013 in Itatiba, Brazil with the following objectives:1)Update participants on activities associated with various parts of the project.2)Include, hear from, and interact with representatives from the LACAf countries.3)Enrich project participants with new perspectives. 4)Advance development of a vision for project-responsive environmental research.Day 1 is to provide an overview, status, and update of key parts of the project: overview, geospatial analysis, social, environmental, and integrated analysis. Day 2 would focus primarily on reporting from the LACAf countries: Guatemala, Columbia, Mozambique, and South Africa. Day 3 would focus primarily on definition and development of the environmental dimension of GSB. Funding is requested to support travel and lodging expenses for Brazilian and international participants. (AU)
