Resumo

The Department of Clinical and Toxicological Analyses, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of São Paulo works in three different sides which are Teaching, Research, and Extra-activities. Currently, this Department comprises two Postgraduate courses being in Physiopathology (CAPES 7) and Toxicology (CAPES 5) field. Physiopathology area consists to understand both physiology and pathology aspects of human affections and development/application of diagnostic tests. Meanwhile, Toxicology covers a different area which is related to environmental and food contamination, drugs and their toxicology.Following this thought, the committee is preparing the III International Symposium on Pathophysiology and Toxicology (ISPAT) and VIII Simpósio de Pós-Graduação em Análises Clínicas (SIMPAC). This committee is composed of Postgraduate students and Professors from School of Pharmaceutical Sciences on April 26th and 27th of 2018. The event will touch on some of the most important learnings and highlights with the title of Metabolism: under the clinical chemistry and toxicology focus. It will also bring brainstorm ideas and promote communication between participants helping to promote new collaborations. For this event, we will have for the second time the poster section which brings a moment of interaction between examiner and student. For 2018, the ISPAC/SIMPAC will consist of nine sections:1.Metabolic diseases and diagnostic approaches. 2.The relationship between nutrition and metabolism. 3.New approaches to research in Pathophysiology and Toxicology. 4.Metabolic diseases and inflammation. Moderator: 5.Zyka virus and its updates. Moderator: 6.Cancer. Moderator: 7.Chemical dependency and Ora presentation (AU)
