Graduated in Agricultural Engineering, Mastership and Doctorate in Water and Soil Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), where studied the influence of water and tropical soil management at yield and water consumption of irrigated bean, an important crop for the Brazilian diet; Expert in Drainage and Watershed Management from Universidade de Taubaté (UNITAU). In 2015, to reinforce international insertion, developed studies at post-doctoral level on economic aspects of ecosystems services at the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences (ALES), University of Alberta (UofA), in Edmonton, Canada. In 2019, I held an exchange period at the Universitat Autônoma de Barcelona (UAB), Barcelona, Spain, under the supervision of Professors Xavier Gabarrell Durany and Joan Rieradevall Pons. During this period I conducted a study on solid waste management in five Brazilian cities using the CO2ZW software, developed by UAB's Sostenipra research group and led by Professors Xavier and Joan.Since 2011 has been Professor at Institute of Science and Technology of Sorocaba (ICTS) at Universidade Estadual de São Paulo (UNESP) for the graduate course in Environmental Sciences and undergraduate course in Environmental Engineering, where has developed an educational constructivist approach based on landscape analyzes, as a way to evolve the understanding of environmental complexity. Has attended several conferences, symposiums and seminars on Environmental Sciences, including topics such as environmental impacts assessment, environmental management, water and soil management and landscape analyzes. The academic production includes 40 book chapters, 90 articles, 300 conference papers and abstracts, amounting over 400 publications. The broad experience and expertise in teaching, researching and academic extension have allowed developing works approaching different social groups as rural settlements, neighborhood communities, philanthropic institutions, and high school students, addressing the popularization of science and environmental issues such as natural resources management, re-vegetation of degraded land and waste management.
