He has a bachelor degree in Industrial Technology Chemistry from University of Panama (2008).
He worked how quality assistant in Cervecería Nacional S.A. (6/2008-8/2009). Taskes involved quality control of raw, intermediate and finished material. Know-how in several techniques as acquired, such as gas chromatography, density meter, HPLC, Turbidity meter, Nibem Foam Stability Tester, IR and others.
He worked how scientific technician at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute and University of Panama (8/2009-6/2014), within the International Cooperative Biodiversity Group (ICBG). Main tasks involved extraction, bio-guided fractionation and structure elucidation of secondary metabolites with biological activity from plant-endophytic fungi, namely bioactivity against parasites (malaria, leishmaniasis, chagas disease) and cancer cells (MCF-7). He has also contributed with the training of interns and students for their graduation and master thesis.
He received a training in the use of Nuclear Magnetic Resonances (400 and 500 MHz, Varian), mass spectrometry (UPLC-ESI-MS, Waters), and data bases (Dictionary of Natural products and SciFinder), for structure determination of organic compounds. EISAI, Andover, Massachusett, USA (10/2012 ? 12/2012).
He received a training to process a mass spectra data of a micrOTOF (Bruker). University of São Paulo, Ribeirão Preto, Brazil (3/2014 - 4/2014).
