I am an early-career scientist with a robust training base in Ecology and a particular expertise in Human Ecology. Over my academic trajectory, I obtained an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ (2010), a Master's of Science degree in Ecology at the Nacional Institute for Amazonian Research - INPA (2013), and a PhD degree in Ecology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN (2019). I am now pusuing a postdoctoral position at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), under the international project "Balancing biOdiversity coNservation and Development in Amazon wetlandS - BONDS". During the last decade, I have been working in the Amazon, where I did field work in different river basins and conducted both interviews with local people and biological surveys. My main research interest is the study of natural resources management, aimed at finding alternatives to reconcile biodiversity conservation with human well-being.
