Marcelo Rafanelli Rosatti

Master of physiology by UNESP/UFSCar physiology graduate program (PIPGCF), with CAPES grant fellowship. Working on research on the neurophysiology of breathing, integrating it with endocrine physiology of sexual hormones; this project is a progressive and chronic study on how long term anabolic steroid abuse affects breathing in different gas mixtures situations. Graduated in biomedical sciences (2018-2022) from IBB-UNESP, where as an undergrad researcher he worked on the role astrocytes might have in the control of breathing in the Lateral Hypothalamus in relation to photic entrainment, under a FAPESP grant (2020-21). He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Physiology (SBFis). He also studied philosophy at UNIFESP (2012-16), and still works in parallel with ontology and philosophy of logic, focusing on the nature of ontological entities and the logical definitions and requirements of their existence based on function.
