Yakubu Shedrach

Shedrach Yakubu was born in Takum City, located in Taraba State, Nigeria. Yakubu began his education by obtaining his First School Leaving Certificate from the Christ Foundation Academy Takum. He then proceeded to Rev. J. Wamada Memorial Secondary School Takum, where he earned a NECO certificate.He holds a National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology from Federal Polytechnic Bali, graduating with a distinction grade. Yakubu furthered his academic pursuit, obtaining a BSc. degree in Industrial Chemistry from the Federal University Wukari. There, he graduated as the best student of the year, receiving both the Chancellor's and Pro-Chancellor's Awards.Yakubu is currently a Doctoral student at the Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil. His research interests focus on the synthesis and Bridgman growth of multiferroic single crystals and their characterization for piezoelectric and piezophotonic applications. He is also interested in the synthesis of ferroelectric materials and hybrid perovskites, and in investigating them for potential photovoltaic applications. (Fonte: Currículo Lattes)
