Isaac Terceros is the Founder and Music Director of the Santa Cruz Philharmonic in Bolivia and also serves as Assistant Conductor of the Conway Symphony Orchestra. Currently, he is working towards his Master Degree in Instrumental Conducting at the University of Central Arkansas under the mentorship of Maestro Israel Getzov. Mr. Terceros has enriched his career by performing as a guest conductor in Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Paraguay, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, France, Hungary, Romania, and the United States. In Bolivia, he is founder and music director of several ensembles, including the Santa Cruz Symphonic Band and the vocal ensemble Entrecantos (a two-time winner of the Santa Cruz Choir Competition). He also served as a faculty member and choir conductor for the Music Department of Universidad Evangélica Boliviana (UEB). He was elected to the Council of Arts of Santa Cruz in 2014, and won the Youth Peace Prize in the Arts category in 2017. He currently serves as the elected Secretary of Culture of Partners of America in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. His work with the Santa Cruz Philharmonic has won praise and recognition from audience and press alike. Since its establishment in 2016, the Philharmonic has fast become an artistic pillar of the city and country, building strong relationships with civic institutions, businesses, and the public. The concerts have had a strong educational and historical impact on the city as many programs include premiere performances from the symphonic cannon, such as, Beethoven?s Ninth Symphony, Carl Orff?s Carmina Burana, George Gershwin?s Rhapsody in Blue; pieces from the Latin American symphonic repertoire; and diverse popular productions such as, a Gospel Celebration, a tribute to John Williams, and the musical Les Misérables. He received his Bachelor?s Degree in Orchestra and Choir Conducting at the University of Sao Paulo - USP through the Exchange Program for Undergraduate Students (PEC-G), sponsored by the Ministry of External Relations (MRE) of Brazil, under the instruction of Maestro Aylton Escobar and other prestigious professors. Mr. Terceros received numerous awards during his academic studies, including a research grant from the Sao Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and ten Academic Excellence Awards from the Division of Educational Matters (DCE) of Brazil. He was also a member of various research teams on musical analysis, music technology, and choir conducting publishing his findings in scientific journals and conferences. (Fonte: Currículo Lattes)
