Discursos sobre a prática de escrita literária de jovens: o diálogo entre a literatura na escola e a fanfiction

This thesis aims to ponder on the discourse in the literary written production of young people in different activity fields, more specifically in the school and art fields, as to understand the values behind the literary written production in such different contexts and occasional dialogues between one another. In the current study, we assume, as theoretical and methodological base, the studies of the Bakhtin Circle and its commentators, placed in the Dialogical Discourse Analysis. From this perspective, we highlight as key concepts: the architectonics of concrete statement, genres of discourse, dialogue, and activity field. For such investigation, this thesis proposes a discussion about discourses regarding the textual production of literary genres in the school field (considering, in this “group”, proposals of literary genre production in text books for high school – private and public sectors – and proposals of literary genre production in university entrance exams – added to the expectations of their respective evaluation boards) and in the art field, in commentaries on literary productions on the internet, in websites for fanfiction. Regarding the school field, we contemplate: a) studies about the functioning of the school field and b) studies about schooling in a more comprehensive way, and more specifically, schooling of the written production of texts. As for literature, our work embraces: a) studies in the art field and b) studies about the approach of literature and the literary text in the school field in Brazil. Concerning fanfics, we analyze the architectonics of these productions and what is expected from these texts/authors regarding literary writing in commentaries of fanfics on the series 13 Reasons Why. Our analyses lead to the following conclusion: there is a movement in the constitution of the art field induced by public policies and social movements, for example, which include authors and texts that are marginalized in this universe, which, on its turn, is minimized in the school field (both in text books and university entrance exams), bearing in mind that, when the content is formalized in schools, it borrows from the art field only the knowledge that is historically valued – being, therefore, connected to the canonic content. Thus, when those same individuals – students and literature writers – wait for recognition as authors outside the school walls, they show a conflict of values regarding literary texts and authorship conceptions: they want, in a universe understood as marginal in the art field, be recognized as great authors, under canonic values regarding literature and, on its turn, regarding writing, fact that we have understood as a conflict arising from dialogues among values they learn about literature and literary text in the school field.
