Abstract
This project aims at the systematic study of transport properties in nanostructures, as well as the potential applicability of these nanostructures as elements for quantum computing. Thus, we intend to analyze the problem of transport in quantum dots considering the electron-electron interaction between the incident electron and the confined ones. In addition, we will study the spin-dependent transport in quantum wires and the spin-transfer torque effect. Finally, we will analyze the dynamics of quantum correlations, essential for quantum computing implementation, in quantum dots and nitrogen vacancy in diamond. (AU)
