Adriane Orenha-Ottaiano works as a Senior Associate Professor (Livre-Docência - Level 5.3), with Habilitation in Corpus-Based Phraseology and Phraseography, in the Department of Modern Languages at the São Paulo State University (UNESP). She is a faculty member in the Graduate Program in Linguistic Studies at UNESP, working within the research line of Lexis and Translation Pedagogy from a Corpus-Based Perspective, having supervised undergraduate research, masters, and doctoral students with grants from CAPES, CNPq, and FAPESP. She holds a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Université de Montréal, Canada (FAPESP Grant Process 2018/22943-8), a PhD in Linguistic and Literary Studies from São Paulo State University (UNESP), and a Masters in Linguistic and Literary Studies in English from the University of São Paulo (USP), and a BA in Translation and English Language Studies from UNESP. She is the principal investigator of the research projects Development of a Methodology and Enhancement of Lexicographic Resources for an Online Platform of Academic Collocation Dictionaries in Portuguese and English (CNPq Grant Process 409178/2021-7) and Online Platform of Multilingual Corpus-Based Collocation Dictionaries (FAPESP Grant Process no. 2020/01783-2). She leads the CNPq Research Group FRASCORP Phraseology and Collocations Based on Corpora and is the Deputy Leader of the Research Group Lexis and Translation Pedagogy from a Corpus-Based Perspective. She is a founding member and Vice President of the Association of Lexicography for South America, Central America, the Caribbean, and Mexico (AmericaLex). In 2023, she worked as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Edinburgh (CAPES/PrInt UNESP Internship Grant). In 2022 and 2024, she was an invited professor at the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares (Spain), funded by the Giner de los Ríos Program. In 2015, she completed a research stay at the University of Surrey (Call No. 03/2015-PROPG/PAREex). Her research interests include Corpus-Based Phraseology and Phraseography, with a focus on general, academic, and specialized language collocations, Corpus Linguistics, Lexis and Translation Pedagogy from a Corpus-Based Perspective, Corpus-Based Translation Studies, and the Teaching of English and Portuguese as Foreign Languages.
