Associate Professor (MS-5.3) at the School of Engineering, São Paulo State University (UNESP), Bauru Campus. Since 2025, he has served as Manager of Planning, Financial Monitoring, and Performance Indicators at the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). From 2019 to 2025, he was Advisor to the UNESP Office for Graduate Studies, having previously been a member of the Institutional Evaluation Committee (CPA), responsible for faculty performance assessment. For over a decade, he coordinated or served as deputy coordinator of UNESPs Graduate Program in Production Engineering (CAPES Rating 5).He has led several institutional initiatives focused on innovation in academic and business environments, including:a) Capes Global Conecta Mundi Network, coordinated by UNESP;b) MAI/DAI UNESP Program, dedicated to managing academic masters and doctoral programs for innovation, in partnership with the UNESP Innovation Agency (AUIN) and the Office for Research (PROPE);c) Graduate Training Program in Distance Education, conducted since 2019 in partnership with UNIVESP, one of the four public universities in the State of São Paulo;d) UNESP/FAPESP Agreement, responsible for offering direct doctoral scholarships to candidates selected through the Graduate Record Exam (GRE).His research focuses on operations management and sustainability, with an emphasis on industrial innovation, Industry 4.0, green logistics, circular economy, infrastructure financing, and environmental assessment. He investigates the impacts of industrial and logistics activities on CO2; emissions, applying advanced methodologies such as Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Social Network Analysis (SNA).He has extensive experience in internationalization, having coordinated this area at the UNESP Office for Graduate Studies and represented UNESP at the Global Bioeconomy Alliance (GBA). He has been a visiting professor at the Food Innovation and Product Design (FIPDes) an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Programme at Lund University (Sweden) and at the City-Region Economic and Development Institute (City-REDI), University of Birmingham (United Kingdom). He was also a visiting scholar at Stanford University (USA, 2014) and Stellenbosch University (South Africa, 2017).He is a member of the UNESP research groups Systems and Operations Management, Innovation in Sustainability, and Sustainability and Human Development. His work combines academic excellence and university management, contributing significantly to institutional policy design and the implementation of programs aimed at the transition to a low-carbon economy.In the industrial sector, he has served since 2020 as a member of the Board of Painco S/A, a leading manufacturing company of welded components and assemblies in carbon steel for the construction, railway, wind energy, agricultural, and mining industries.He has supervised 13 masters dissertations, 4 doctoral theses, 40 specialization monographs, 10 undergraduate research projects, and 20 capstone projects, as well as 7 internship students (including 2 international exchange students). He is currently supervising 2 doctoral candidates.His academic output includes 36 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 2 books, 10 book chapters, and 71 full papers in conference proceedings, in addition to coordinating and participating in several nationally and internationally funded research projects. His work has been disseminated through approximately 30 scientific events, including invited lectures and conference presentations in Brazil and abroad. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
