Associate Professor (MS 5.3) at the Faculty of Engineering, Bauru Campus, UNESP. Since 2019, he has been an advisor to the Dean of Graduate Studies at UNESP, assisting in the formulation of policies for the development of graduate studies. The professor was a member of the Permanent Evaluation Commission (CPA) of UNESP, responsible for the evaluation of professors at the university and, for more than 10 years, he was coordinator/vice-coordinator of the Graduate Program in Production Engineering at UNESP (CAPES Concept 5). He was responsible for a series of recent institutional projects and programs aimed at innovation in the business and academic environment, such as: a) MAI/DAI UNESP program, a master's and doctoral academic management program for innovation, conducted in partnership with the Innovation Agency from Unesp (AUIN) and the Dean of Research (PROPE); b) institutional responsible, since 2019, for the training program for graduate students in distance learning. The program is conducted in partnership between UNESP and UNIVESP (one of the four public universities in the state of SP); c) institutional responsible for the agreement UNESP/FAPESP of direct doctoral scholarships for entrants for the GRE exam (graduate record exam). Within its consolidated line of research, it has contributed to the advancement of operations management and sustainability, investigating the innovation process at the micro and macroeconomic level; industry 4.0 and environmental protection; supply chain and green logistics; sustainable packaging; circular economy and infrastructure financing models; improvement of Data Envelopment Analysis DEA and social network analysis SNA techniques.His work has a positive impact on the fight for social inclusion and in science he stands out for valuable research focused on assessing the impacts of industrial and logistical activities on CO2 emissions, especially in the search for answers to the challenges of innovation and sustainability.He has a solid history of internationalization, having served as a visiting professor at the Food Innovation and Product Design (FIPDes) - Erasmus Mundus Master, at the Packaging Logistics Division, Lund University (Sweden) and at the City Region Economic and Development Institute (City-REDI) , from the University of Birmingham (UK). He works in the following research groups at UNESP: Systems and Operations Management, Innovation in Sustainability, Sustainability and Human Development. He was also a visiting professor at the universities of Stanford, USA (2014) and Stellenbosch, South Africa (2017). He has distinguished himself in research, university management and representation in development bodies and agencies, in addition to acting in the elaboration of institutional policies and in the management of university programs with a focus on low carbon.In addition to experience in the academic area, the professor works with the productive sector, being a member (since 2020) of the Board of Directors (CA) of Painco S/A, a large company manufacturing components and welded assemblies in medium and thick plates of carbon steel, serving the segments of machinery for construction, road machinery, railway and subway equipment, wind energy, mining and agriculture.In a quantitative analysis, it contributed to the formation of qualified human resources, finalizing the supervision of 13 master's dissertations, 3 doctoral theses, 40 specialization monographs, 10 scientific initiation, 20 final course work, and supervised 2 exchange student interns from abroad and 5 in the country. He is currently supervising 2 doctoral students. During the academic trajectory, 35 works were published in qualified journals of great relevance in the area, 2 books, 10 book chapters and 71 complete works in annals of events.
