Civil Engineer by the Engineering School of São Carlos - University of São Paulo (1983), has MSc in Civil Engineering Structures, University of São Paulo (1989) and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering Structures, University of São Paulo (1993). He is currently professor at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho. Has experience in the Forest Products and Mechanics of wood, acting on the following topics: physical-mechanical properties of wood and wood products, non-destructive testing of wood, quality of wood and wooden sleepers (railroad ties) (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
