Holds a Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo (1994), as well as a Masters (1998) and a PhD (2002) in Basic and Applied Immunology from the Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo (FMRP-USP). Completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto (20032005) and a PRODOC-CAPES researcher in the Graduate Program in Basic and Applied Immunology at FMRP-USP (20062007). Subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan (20072009) in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Served as a Visiting Research Scholar in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville (20192020). Currently an Associate Professor (MS-5.3) at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Araraquara, São Paulo State University (UNESP). Research focuses on cellular immunology, with particular emphasis on the role of metabolic pathways in the activation of dendritic cells and CD4#8314; T lymphocytes during the phagocytosis of apoptotic cells in infection and cancer models.Served as Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Biosciences and Biotechnology Applied to Pharmacy from 2021 to 2024, during which the program maintained a CAPES Concept 7 rating.
