He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from UNICAMP-State University of Campinas (1986), a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from UNICAMP-State University of Campinas (1990), a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from UFSCar-Federal University of São Carlos (1999), and a post-doctorate from IPEN-Institute for Energy and Nuclear Research (2009). He is currently a Full Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at UNESP. He has experience in Mechanical Engineering in Manufacturing Processes, with an emphasis on Welding, working mainly on the following topics: Welding Processes, Welding Metallurgy, and Solid-State Pulsed Laser Welding (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
