Antônio José Maria Cataneo

Graduate at Medicina from São Paulo State University (UNESP), Medical School, Botucatu (1974), master's at Surgery from São Paulo State University (UNESP), Medical School, Botucatu (1981), ph.d. at Surgery from São Paulo State University (UNESP), Medical School, Botucatu (1985), associate professor at Thoracic Surgery from São Paulo State University (UNESP), Medical School, Botucatu (1998). Since October 2008 he is a full professor of the discipline of Thoracic Surgery of the Department of Surgery of the São Paulo State University (UNESP), Medical School, Botucatu. He works in the area of Medicine, with emphasis in Thoracic Surgery, having as research line: aggression, regeneration and transplants of the respiratory system and systematic reviews and metanalysis. He has been a counselor for the Graduate Program in Basics of Surgery since June 1996 until now, having been Coordinator of this program in the three-year period 2003-2006. In 2014 he created the postgraduate program associated with the medical residency of Botucatu Medical School UNESP, and participated in the course council from then to the present.
