I obtained the Bachelor in Biological Sciences title at Universidade de São Paulo (1993), the obtained a Master in Biological Oceanografy at Universidade de São Paulo (1996) and Ph.D. in Biological Oceanografy at Universidade de São Paulo (2002). I have been CNPq researcher (PQ) since March 2009 (currenty PQ-1A level). Currently, I have a position as Associate Profesor at Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, and as a researcher and Post-Graduation supervisor at the Instituto de Ciências do Mar of Federal University of Ceará (PG program in Tropical Marine Sciences). I also works as collaborator with USP, and have past experience as scientific consultant for FUNDESPA, Aplysia, CPEA and Tecnohidro. I am associated to many scientific societies (ABES, SETAC, etc), and was one of the founders of the Brazilian Society of Ecotoxicology and SETAC - Latin America chapter. I have been a reviewer for many international and national journals. My experienc involves Sanitary Engineering, Oceanography and Applied Ecology, focusing on Pollution Control and Environmental Management, mainly on the following subjects: coastal zone, coastal management, ecotoxicology, conservation and pollution.
