He holds a Technical Course in Agriculture from the Benedito Storani State Technical School in Jundiá, SP (1999), a Degree in Animal Science from the University of Marília in Marília, SP (2003), a Master's Degree in Animal Science from the Faculty of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences of Unesp in Jaboticabal, SP (2006), Specialization in Human Nutrition and Health from the Federal University of Lavras in Lavras, MG (2007), a PhD in Animal Production from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science of Unesp in Botucatu, SP (2009), a Post-doctorate from the Department of Economics, Sociology and Technology of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of Unesp in Botucatu, SP (2012) and a Post-doctorate at the Center for Agrofood Research and Technology of Aragón in Spain. Professor of Sheep Farming at the Ilha Solteira School of Engineering (FEIS/UNESP) (2017). He is currently an Associate Professor III at the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science/UNESP, Botucatu Campus. He is currently the Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Animal Science (CAPES Concept 6) at the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science at Unesp in Botucatu, SP. He is a member of the INCT Meat Production Chain team representing the State of São Paulo and Unesp (2023). He leads the CNPq research group Sustainable Production and Quality of Sheep Meat. He is a member of the Technical Standards Study Committee of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT). He is accredited as a permanent professor in the Postgraduate Program in Animal Science (CAPES Concept 6) at the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science at Unesp in Botucatu. He was a permanent professor for approximately 13 years (2012-2025) in the Postgraduate Program in Animal Science and Technology (CAPES Concept 4) of the Interunit Program of Unesp in Ilha Solteira and Dracena and for approximately 3 years (2010-2013) in the Postgraduate Program in Agronomy - FEIS / Unes (CAPES Concept 5). He is the leader of the CNPq research group Xenobiotic residues in agriculture and the environment. He is the coordinator of the international agreement between the São Paulo State University - Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) and the Center for Agrofood Research and Technology of Aragón in Spain. He was a professor for approximately 14 years (2009-2023) at the Faculty of Engineering of Ilha Solteira - FEIS / UNESP. He has experience in administrative positions at FEIS/UNESP, including Head of the Biology and Animal Science Department for two terms, President of Student Housing, Senior Representative of the Congregation, Senior Representative of the Animal Science Course Council for eight years, Senior Representative of the Permanent Committee for University Extension and Culture, Senior Representative of the Permanent Research Committee, and various other positions at UNESP. One of the Brazilian researchers among the 344.000 scientists in the global productivity ranking of 2.6 million scientists worldwide, according to research published in 2025 and conducted at Stanford University (USA). Included in the AD Scientific Index - World Scientist and University Rankings 2026. He develops research projects in Brazil and internationally with educational and/or research institutions in Mexico, Spain, and the United States. He has also supervised and mentored students on internships abroad with ruminant production in Denmark, France, and Florida. He has experience in Sustainable Production and Quality of Ruminant Meat, working primarily on the following topics: sustainable production systems in agriculture, animal welfare, greenhouse gases, xenobiotic residues, carcass evaluation, meat product development, and consumer studies.
