Chemist with a Bachelors degree in Technological Attributions and a Licentiate degree from the University of São Paulo (FFCLRP-USP), Masters in Chemistry (FFCLRP-USP), and PhD in Sciences from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto University of São Paulo (FCFRP-USP). Completed a Postdoctoral fellowship in Nanotechnology and Tissue Engineering at the University of São Paulo (FFCLRP-USP). Currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Bioprocess and Biotechnology Engineering (DEBB) at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Araraquara UNESP. Research Productivity Fellow of CNPq Level 2. At present, serves as a full member of the University Council (CO) of UNESP. Former Head (20192022) and Deputy Head (20172019) of the Department of Bioprocess and Biotechnology Engineering. Member of the Brazilian Materials Research Society (SBPMat). Serves as deputy coordinator of the Open Space, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Environment of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Araraquara UNESP. Reviewer for various national and international journals and funding agencies such as FAPESP and CNPq. Founder and coordinator of the Nanomaterials and Tissue Engineering Research Group GNanoEngineers at FCFAr/UNESP, focusing on the use of nanotechnology and biotechnology in Photodynamic Therapy for the treatment of various types of cancer. Has published over 94 scientific articles in international journals (H-index = 28), holds 2 patents, 1 technology transfer to industry, and 6 published book chapters. Has supervised 3 PhD theses, 9 Masters dissertations, and over 20 undergraduate research projects. Experienced in coordinating research projects and supervising international projects involving the exchange of undergraduate and graduate students through internationalisation programmes such as CAPES-Print-UNESP and BEPE-FAPESP, in collaboration with research groups in the United Kingdom, Portugal, and Spain. Served as a visiting professor at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Anhui University, Hefei/China (2019). Co-founder of the startup Nanophoton, incubated at the Supera Technology and Innovation Park at USP, Ribeirão Preto/SP. Experienced in Chemistry and Biotechnology, with emphasis on Nanotechnology, Tissue Engineering, and the promotion of Entrepreneurship and Technological Innovation in the academic environment.
