He holds a doctorate (2013), a master's degree (2009) and a degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of São Carlos (2007). He is currently an Associate Professor in Department of Statistics, Applied Mathematics and Computation (DEMAC) at State University of São Paulo (UNESP), Campus of Rio Claro. He was coordinator of the Undergraduate Program in Computer Science at UNESP of Rio Claro (2015-2018 and 2020-2022). He was a Visiting Researcher in Department of Radiology at Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia (USA) from March 2018 to February 2019. Professor with a Habilitation in Computer Graphics from São Paulo State University (UNESP) in 2025. He is accredited with the Multicampus Graduate Program in Computer Science at UNESP. He has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Computer Science, with emphasis on Pattern Recognition, Digital Image Processing, Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Neural Networks, working mainly in the following subjects: Image Denoising, Deep Learning, Medical Imaging, Combination of Multiple Classifiers. He is also interested in the development of extensionist, interdisciplinary and innovative solutions based on technical-scientific knowledge in his research areas. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
