Academic activity in the field of Education, specifically in Higher Education, involving teaching, research, outreach, and academic management. Full Professor (Livre-Docente) in the Department of Education at São Paulo State University (UNESP), Rio Claro campus. Holds a teaching degree in Physical Education (1994) and a Masters degree in Motor Sciences (1999) from UNESP, a PhD in Education from the University of Campinas (2007), and a postdoctoral fellowship in Psychology from the University of São Francisco (2020).Research activities are grounded in Social Cognitive Theory, with a focus on teacher and academic self-efficacy beliefs, educational processes, and the context of healthy schools. Serves as leader of the Research Group on Social Cognitive Theory and Educational Practices, developing a continuous agenda of investigation, scientific production, and human resource training.Human resource development constitutes a central axis of academic activity, through completed supervision at the postdoctoral, doctoral, and masters levels, as well as supervision of undergraduate research (PIBIC, PIBIC-EM). Participates in institutional and interinstitutional projects and in national and international research networks, including experiences as a visiting researcher at foreign institutions (Department of Psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, 2023; INSPé, Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, 2019; Department of Kinesiology, University of North Carolina at Greensboro, 2014; Department of Kinesiology, University of Maryland, 2012; Institute of Education, University of Minho, 2011). Engages in academic and scientific leadership and management activities, including participation in committees, coordination and organization of scientific events, and service as associate editor, and ad hoc reviewer for Brazilian and international journals. Member of the Council of Experts of the Teacher Training School of Unesp, linked to the Coordination of Professional Development and Pedagogical Practices - Professor Adriana Chaves (CDeP3).
