PhD in Geological Sciences and Geotechnologies and Associate Professor at the Institute of Geosciences and Exact Sciences of São Paulo State University (UNESP). His research interests include paleomagnetism, rock magnetism, and their applications to geological problems. Currently, his work focuses on the stratigraphy of the Plio-Pleistocene, the dating of paleontological and archaeological sites, the PermianTriassic magnetostratigraphy of the Paraná Basin, and the Cretaceous magnetostratigraphy of Northeastern Brazil.Field experience in South America (Brazil, Argentina), Europe (Italy, France, Germany, Greece, Serbia, Romania), Asia (Jordan, Israel, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan), and the Indian Ocean (IODP Expedition 355). He is manager of the UNESP Laboratory of Paleomagnetism (UNESPmag), Associate Editor of Alpine and Mediterranean Quaternary journal, and serves as a reviewer for funding agencies (CNPq, FAPESP, Alexander von Humboldt Foundation) and international journals in the fields of geophysics and geology.
