Rafael dos Santos holds a Ph.D. (UNESP - FEB 2023) and a Masters degree (UNESP - ICTS 2020) in Electrical Engineering, as well as a degree in Control and Automation Engineering (UNESP - ICTS 2019). He is currently an Assistant Professor at UNESP - ICTS. Between 2015 and 2016, he completed a sandwich undergraduate program at the Limerick Institute of Technology (2015-2016) through the Science Without Borders program (CsF-CAPES). He worked in the Application Engineering department in the Power Control Business sector at Rockwell Automation, developing electromechanical projects for MCCs and motor drive systems. He has experience in Research and Development projects, having worked on computational model development for three-phase induction motors used in FPSOs within the oil and gas industry.His research focuses on the field of Industrial Electronics, Electronic Systems, and Control, primarily in the following areas: Model Predictive Control applied to power electronics and energy systems; Control, analysis, design, and implementation of static converters based on impedance networks; Control, development, and design of multifunctional inverters for photovoltaic solar energy systems; Analysis, drive, and control of DC and AC electric machines; Power quality improvement in electronic energy processing; Integration of energy resources and modernization of offshore energy systems.Rafael dos Santos is a member of the Brazilian Automation Society (SBA) and Brazilian Society of Power Electronics (SOBRAEP) and IEEE.
