Birthplace: Brazil

Associate Professor at São Paulo State University (UNESP), having obtained the Livre-Docente title (Habilitation) in 2022. Holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the State University of Piauí (2005), a Masters degree (2008), and a Ph.D. (2012) in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (USP). Completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Liège, Belgium (2013). Accredited in the Graduate Program in Chemistry at the Institute of Biosciences, Letters, and Exact Sciences (Ibilce, CAPES grade 5). Has coordinated three research grants funded by FAPESP: one Young Investigator Award (Grant No. 2013/10002-0, 20142017), two Regular Research Grants (Grant Nos. 2018/06340-1, 20192021, and 2021/13128-1, 07/202206/2024), one Equipment Repair Grant (Grant No. 2021/10915-2, 12/202111/2022), and three Research Support Grants for Scientific Meetings two international (Grant Nos. 2025/05609-0 and 2018/07900-0) and one national (Grant No. 2022/04410-8) for presentation of oral communication and invited lecture, respectively. He conceived and co-coordinated four editions of the Feira de Ciência e Tecnologia do Oeste Paulista (Western Paulista Science and Technology Fair), linked to the National Science and Technology Week in 2022 (CNPq Grant No. 404664/2022-9). Internationally, he maintains collaborations with Prof. Walter Baratta on the development of ruthenium catalysts for homogeneous catalysis (CNPq No. 16/2024, CNPq Grant No. 404854/2024-9; FAPESP Grant No. 2024/15926-0), and with Prof. Lionel Delaude (CNPq Grant Nos. 88881.624419/2021-01 and 88881.690136/2022-01). Nationally, he participates as an associate researcher in three research projects: one CNPq Universal 2021 (Track A, Grant No. 404435/2021-1) and two FAPEMIG projects (APQ-00372-22 and APQ-04980-23), in collaboration with Prof. André Luiz Bogado, focusing on the production of molecular hydrogen for fuel cells from formic acid. He served as Tutor of the PET/UNESP Chemistry and Physics Tutorial Education Program (20192025). Currently, he is a member of the Scientific Committee of the UNESP Research Office for the Exact, Earth, and Engineering Sciences; Head of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at FCT/UNESP; and Coordinator of the Laboratory of Organometallic Catalysis and Materials (LaCOM). He also serves as an ad hoc reviewer for the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and was Chair of the Permanent Research Committee at FCT/UNESP (20222024). His research interests lie in the field of Organometallic Catalysis, with emphasis on:The development of novel catalytic systems to mediate the coupling of reactions with distinct mechanisms via tandem catalysis; and The production of molecular hydrogen via formic acid dehydrogenation and hydrogen transfer reactions of ketones and CO#8322; using ruthenium organometallic complexes as catalysts.
