She is a full professor and researcher in the Department of Modern Languages and Postgraduate Studies in Linguistics and Portuguese Language at the Faculty of Sciences and Letters, FCLAr/Unesp, in Araraquara (SP). Post-doctorate in PLE at the Facultad de Filología, Universidad de Salamanca, Post-doctorate in Teaching and learning foreign languages, Universidad de Sevilla, Spain. PhD in Linguistics and Portuguese Language, FCLAr/Unesp, MA in Literary Studies, FCLAr/Unesp/FCLAr, postgraduate degree in University Teaching from the Universidad Nacional de Misiones, UNaM (Argentina), degree in Portuguese and English Letters from Unesp/Ibilce (SP) and a degree in Portuguese and Spanish Letters. She is the leader of the Foreign Language Teaching and Learning Research Group (GPEALE). She works in the areas of Applied Linguistics and Teaching and Learning of Foreign Languages, especially Portuguese and Spanish as Foreign Languages. Author of several national and international publications. Member of the Editorial Board of the journal EntreLínguas (FCLAr/UNESP). Member of the Observatory of Portuguese as a Foreign / Second Language (ObsPLE-PL2). External Researcher at the Instituto Universitarios de Estudios de América IEAL Un. Sevilla, Spain. Full representative of UNESP in the Disciplinary Nucleus PELSE (Portuguese and Spanish as a Foreign and Second Language), at AUGM.
