Birthplace: Brazil

Currently a Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering of Bauru, São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) - Campus of Bauru. I was a Lecturer (2023-2024) at the Department of Mechanics, School of Engineering of Guaratinguetá, São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) - Campus of Guaratinguetá and at the Department of Mechanics, Campus of Ponta Grossa, at Technological and Federal University Of Paraná, UTFPr (2020-2023). Post-Doc Researcher at São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) - Bauru Campus, Engineering College of Bauru between 2020 and 2023. Obtained a Ph.D. degree at the University of Bath, Bath, UK (2019) and a BEng (2012) and MSc (2015) in Mechanical Engineering at São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) - Bauru Campus, Engineering College of Bauru. During my undergraduate degree (2008-2012), developed student research projects for three years, all of them supported by a CNPq/PIBIC scholarship. During this period, I carried out research using finite element modelling and applied it to study the biomechanical behaviour of dental prostheses. I was awarded the best paper prize at the Student Scientific Conference, Local stage (Bauru) in 2010, 2011, and 2012. During my masters degree, I studied the fatigue problem of dental prostheses using the Finite Element Method. My work at the University of Bath was focused on studying the biomechanical behaviour of the cervical spine under impact loading using the Finite Element and experimental methods. Alongside my Ph.D., I have carried out materials testing of composites for external companies and other orthopaedic biomechanics projects. I was awarded a BORS Travelling Fellowship 2019-2020 late in my Ph.D. degree. I have a wide range of research interests including the Finite Element Method, dental prosthesis, bioabsorbable stent, spine biomechanics, orthopaedics, sports injury, numerical modelling, and material fatigue.
