Jorge Kennety Silva Formiga

Full degree in Mathematics (2003) from the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG). Earned a Master's in Physics (2005) specializing in orbit dynamics from São Paulo State University (UNESP/FEG). Completed a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering and Technology (2009) at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), focusing on space mechanics and control, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship in the same field from 2010 to 2013. Attained the position of Associate Professor in Applied Mathematics for Engineering at the Institute of Science and Technology (ICT/UNESP) in 2022.Specialized in mathematical modeling, orbital maneuvers, orbital resonance, normal forms, the three-body problem, and space debris. Previously served as a teaching fellow in the mathematics department at UNESP-FEG in 2006 and 2007, held the position of Level II Professor at FATEC-SJC from 2008 to 2016, served as the coordinator for the Aeronautical Engineering Course at ETEP-Faculdades in São José dos Campos-SP (2014-2015), and assumed roles as vice-coordinator (2020-2021) and department head (2021-2024) for Environmental Engineering at the Institute of Science and Technology-ICT/UNESP.Currently holds the position of Associate Professor III with research focus in applied mathematics, orbital maneuvers, and space debris. Has been a permanent faculty member since 2016 in the Professional Master's program in Sciences and Technology Applied to Dentistry at UNESP - São José dos Campos-SP. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
