He graduated in Physics from the Paulista State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (1985), a Masters in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering from the Aeronautical Technological Institute (1989) and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (2003) with an emphasis on Aeronautics . He has experience in the area of Applied and Computational Mathematics, working mainly in the following subjects: Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Neural Networks, Genetic Algorithms, Optimization Systems, Mathematical Applications in Biotechnology and especially in Assisted Reproduction Techniques.
