Francisco Rolfsen Belda (Ph.D. in Production Engineering, University of São Paulo, 2009) is an Associate Professor of Journalism at São Paulo State University (UNESP) and a researcher in the Graduate Program in Media and Technology. He is Director of Operations at Projor Institute for the Development of Journalism, a board member of the International Media Management Academic Association (IMMAA). He serves as Brazils co-leader of the Trust Project, an international initiative promoting transparency and trust in journalism. Dr. Belda was a visiting professor at Brandeis University (USA) for five years and has extensive experience as a reporter, editor, communications advisor, entrepreneur, and media business administrator. He is a founding partner of Editora Casa da Árvore, a small publishing company specializing in media innovation and scientific dissemination, and the president of Parafuzo, a nationwide end-to-end services marketplace operating in Brazil.
