Birthplace: Brazil

He is a Professor at the Faculty of Engineering (FESJ) at São Paulo State University (Unesp), campus São João da Boa Vista (SJBV). He was a Professor at the Center for Studies in Telecommunications (CETUC) of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) between 2018 and 2024. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering, in Applied Electromagnetism and Antennas, from PUC-Rio. He has a master's degree from PUC-Rio and an undergraduate degree from the Federal University of Santa Maria, both in Electrical Engineering. He has experience in the field of Electrical Engineering, with an emphasis on Electromagnetic Theory, Microwave devices, Wave Propagation, and Antennas. His research interests include pseudoanalytical techniques for modeling electromagnetic scattering in complex media (non-homogeneous, dissipative, and anisotropic) and applications for geophysical sensing, microwave devices, and scattering by moving objects. He is a Young Scientist of Our State (FAPERJ, process E-26/200.287/2023-283624). He is a Senior Member of the IEEE, of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S), the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRS-S), and the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S). He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Microwaves and Optoelectronics (SBMO), where he currently serves as First Treasurer Director. He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Microwaves, Optoelectronics and Electromagnetic Applications (JMOe). Dr. Rosa received an Honorable Mention in the CAPES Grand Award for Doctoral Theses in 2018, the Young Scientist Award at the URSI Commission B International Symposium on Electromagnetic Theory (EMTS 2019), and the Young Scientist Award at the General Assembly and Scientific Symposium of the International Union of Radio Science (URSI-GASS 2017). He was the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Course in Electrical Engineering at PUC-Rio. He was a CAPES Postdoctoral Fellow at CETUC of PUC-Rio, with the process 1690043. He was a CNPq Postgraduate Scholar in the doctoral category with the process 141847/2016-6. He was a visiting scholar at the ElectroScience Laboratory of The Ohio State University.
