University professor and researcher in the field of Biochemistry, with a solid academic background. Holds a Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences (B.Sc.) and a teaching degree in Biological Sciences (Licentiate) from the Federal University of Uberlândia (2007), a Masters degree in Toxicology from the University of São Paulo (2009), and a Ph.D. in Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2013).Currently serves as an Assistant Professor at UNESP Institute of Chemistry of Araraquara, in the Department of Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry, and as a graduate advisor in the Graduate Program in Biosciences and Biotechnology Applied to Pharmacy (FCFAR-UNESP) and in the Graduate Program in Biotechnology at the Institute of Chemistry of Araraquara (Iq-UNESP), in addition to acting as Deputy Head of the Department of Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry.He has an expressive scientific output, with over 50 published articles and more than one thousand citations in the literature. At UNESP, he develops activities in teaching, research, academic advising, and academic management.Has consolidated experience in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Toxinology, with emphasis on purification and functional characterization of proteins and peptides, synthesis of bioactive peptides, structurefunction studies, and recombinant protein expression in heterologous systems.He coordinates research projects funded by different funding agencies in the areas of antimicrobial peptides, antitumor peptides, and therapeutic bioconjugates, and also serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for international scientific journals.A multidisciplinary academic professional with leadership in collaborative projects and a strong commitment to training the next generation of researchers.
